January, WEDNESDAY 11, 1865
This has been a pleasant day overhead. Received 2 Letters One from Sister LV & the Other from Sister Marg. All Well Exept Father Who is quite poorely. We hav had Some graveled walks made today & Some Shrubery Got Out. I made a doore fastening &c. Took the Maile Got Emersed in the Run Horse went in all over.
THURSDAY 12
This has Been a Beautiful day also. I have been quite Busy asisting to put up a Cook house. did not get it done Wrote a letter this Eve to Sisters LV & Marg. The James is very high took off the ? Pontoone Bridge. Health Quite Good Writing this in Our tent (Or House Reather (The Colnels
