Camp Holy Va 24 C Weather Cold today Finished the Cook Shanty Cleaned up my Sadle. Had the Officers of the Brigade here this Evening to get up a petition in Regard to & Exercise of pay. I think they get pay enough it is more in proportion than the private Gets.

Camp Holly Va 24 A C Reather Cold today. Went to divis Head Qtrs took some dispatches & maile Returned had to atend to atent to puting Some Teames to work halting Logs for Corderoy Roade. Recieved a Dispatch Stating that Fort Fisher had Capitulated 1000 Prisoners &c. Good for that & Other Blow at the Rebellion
