Camp Holly Va Army of the James. Nothing with the Exception of Shelling of Dutch Gap & Cananading at Peeters Burgh. It is Rumored here that Porter has Captured Ft Fisher In the after noon made a door for the Colonels House Snowed Some in the after noon.

WEDNESDAY 4

Head Qtrs 1st Brig Camp Holly In the morning there was a bout 2 inches of Snow On the Ground. But the Sune Came Out & most of it disapeared. Nothing of any interest Transpiered worthy of note I believe. Wrote a letter this Eve to Sister Nannie & Health is good & feel in pretty good Spirits think Some of puting in for a furlow &c &c
