February, SATURDAY 18, 1865
Camp Holly Va This has been a beautiful day. I went to Divis Head Qtrs in forenoon afternoon Tinkered a Round. went up to the Sutlers got a Box of Blacking &c. There was 2 Deserter Hung today a bout 1 1/2 from here out of 10th Conn. Health Good.
SUNDAY 19.
Camp Holly Va. It has been a beautiful Sabath day. The Colonel was a way all day. I Spent my time in Reading & writing Wrote a Letter to Wife F. B. & Wife A. H. (???) I Spent the day very well for a Soldier took in the Evening a Ride On Colonels Horse & One On my Own Horse Health Good.
